RDS FANS - HIGH TEMPERATURE EXHAUST FANS
The RSD high temperature exhaust fan maintains the necessary draft for all high temperature chimney, flue, and grease duct applications up to 2100 CFM. This fan is UL and ULC listed for all gas, liquid, or solid fuel burning fireplaces, ovens, cooking appliances, and domestic heating appliances, up to 1000áµ’F continuous, 1400áµ’F abnormal. The RSD housing and impeller is constructed of 316L stainless steel, which helps prevent corrosion from the elements. The tool-less clamp and hinge provides easy access to the impeller for routine maintenance and cleaning.
The RSD is available in three sizes with three different controllers. The universal Fan Speed Controller (FSC) controls the variable speed of the RSD fan to maintain proper draft. The MUC controller can also control a mechanical damper and is wired with alarm contacts. With the optional H100 controller, the fan speed is automatically modulated to maintain a constant negative pressure in the flue as accurate as 0.01. Add an available rain-shield to block out additional moisture.

FAN CONTROLS
FCS
A simple variable speed rheostat fan controller.
MUC
The MUC controller can operate a mechanical damper, as well as the chimney fan, and includes an audible and visual alarm function.
H100
The H100 controller is a fully automated fan speed controller that can automatically modulate the speed of the fan to maintain a slight negative pressure in the flue, to create perfect constant draft in your chimney, regardless of wind, temperature, or barometric pressure changes. This controller can also control an automatic damper and includes an alarm function.
OTHER OPTIONS
ZUK BAROMETRIC DRAFT REGULATOR
Barometric Draft Regulators, also known as Barometric Dampers, limit the negative pressure in the chimney to a value that is ideal for fireplaces or other solid fuel, oil, or gas burning appliances. As soon as the draft in the chimney exceeds the set value, the damper of the barometric draft regulator opens and limits the negative pressure with the additionally supplied air quantity. The barometric dampers react to changes in wind, temperature, and pressure to maintain steady draft and combustion. This process is as simple as it is effective and achieves significant levels of fuel conservation. Barometric draft regulators pay for themselves within a short time thanks to the reduced fuel consumption and they are an easy way to save on energy costs both in private, public, and industrial areas. An additional benefit of barometric dampers is the reduced emission of pollutants due to a steady combustion process.

The ZUK Barometric Draft Regulators by KW are constructed of 304L Stainless Steel and listed UL 378 – Standard for Draft Equipment, rated up to 1000áµ’F continuous, 1400áµ’F abnormal. The ZUK also includes an integrated relief mechanism for Gas appliances.
GFD MECHANICAL FLUE DAMPERS
GFD Mechanical Flue Dampers close when the appliance is not in use to prevent conditioned air from escaping through the chimney, and open right before the appliance burner fires up. This damper is controlled with the MUC or H100 series controllers from KW, and is intended to be used on gas-fired appliances with the RSD fan from KW. The GFD dampers can save up to 4000 kWh per year by preventing the loss of conditioned air, and pay for themselves with the savings! The GFD is available with an integrated RSD fan adaptor. The GFD Dampers are constructed of 316L stainless steel and listed to UL378 – Standard for draft equipment, rated up to 550áµ’F.
ACCESSORIES
KW offers all the necessary accessories you need to complete your system.

Add the WFC wireless fan control system from KW to control your fan, fireplace, and optional damper remotely with the push of a button!
EPS ELECTROSTATIC PARTICLE SEPERATOR
The EPS Electrostatic Particle Separator separates dangerous fine (PM10) and ultra-fine dust (PM2.5) from the flue gas. The EPS works by charging these particles in the flue with an electrode and then forcing them to the walls of the exhaust pipe with an electrostatic field, where they can be easily removed. Electrostatic Particle Separators significantly improve air quality on solid-fuel fired appliances, by effectively separating and removing up to 90% of fine and ultra-fine dust particles from the air stream.
AGM/AWM PASSIVE SILENCERS
Passive flue-gas silencers from KW use a porous mineral fiber as a sound absorber and can reduce noise by up to 25 dB. Passive silencers are suitable for use with all regular combustion heating appliances and can be used on condensing boilers without restriction. The silencers are available in straight or elbow configuration up to 14”. These passive silencers optimum absorption is in the 1000 Hz to 2000 Hz range. For low frequency absorption, we offer an available Low Frequency Silencer. For more significant sound issues you can connect multiple silencers as a modular system.
